We DO NOT accept booking applications from any individual or organisation which in our absolute judgement engages in, incites or encourages behaviour which discriminates against any person on the grounds of age, gender, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, immigration status or economic status.
The premises have male and female toilets and an accessible WC with baby changing facilities. These will be shared with other users of the building (if any)
Access from the exterior is via short flights of steps or by ramps suitable for wheelchair users. The ramp to the Hall entrance (if you are booking the Hall) is very gentle. The ramp to the Church / Meeting Room entrance was constructed before current standards were introduced and may be found too steep for some users without assistance and/or too narrow for some larger wheelchairs and larger mobility scooters. If in doubt it is Hirers responsibility to check by visiting before confirming booking.
Hire of Worship Space &/or Hall includes shared use of kitchen (which must be thoroughly cleaned after use), and toilets. Other users may also be using the kitchen - if you plan anything more complex than making drinks you MUST discuss it with the Church when confirming the booking. The meeting room has its own drinks making facilities but it may be possible to arrange use of kitchen - if you need this please identifiy it in your application.
Please note that if you require absolute privacy for your event, or if noise leakage may be a problem for your event you may need to book the entire building for your event, which will attract additional charges. We cannot guarantee there will be no noise from other parts of the building and (as above) toilets and kitchen may be shared with other users.
Please also note;
1) shared use of toilets with other groups may not comply with applicable Child Protection legislation and guidance; it is users responsibility to check before confirming booking
2) children are not allowed in the kitchen; hires for events which will involve use of the kitchen AND children (whether covered by Child Protection legislation or not) MUST allow sufficient supervisors for safe and effective management of any children allowed on the premises without bringing them into the kitchen.
3) due to abuse of the premises and failures to comply with agreed terms, we are not currently accepting Party bookings, except for Children's Parties.
Maximum Capacity : 110 people
The hall has a robust timber-effect floor, which is easily cleaned and suitable for a wide variety of activities.
It has its own entrance on the South side of the building via a gentle ramp and steps. Lighting is dimmable. The kitchen servery opens directly into the Hall. Chairs and tables are available.
Your booking must allow suficient time to get chairs and tables out and to put them away before the booked finishing time.
Activities which are suitable for the Worship Space include; formal and informal public meetings; public consultations, focus groups; 'break-out' space in connection with events and activities in the Hall; training events; concerts and recitals
Small Meeting Room
This small room is available for up to 20 people (though comfortable for less in a conference table arrangement), and is carpeted. Drink making facilities are available. Use as a creche in connection with events in either the Hall or the Church is possible but only under the continuous supervision of a sufficient number of responsible adults (NEVER less than two, of whom one must be over 21 years of age); it is hirers responsibility to know and comply with child protection legislation and to arrange for CRB checks where required. If you wish to book this room in conjunction with either the Hall or the Church this must be discussed with the Church at the time of booking and additional charges may apply.

Modern worktops and base units are installed and the floor is in non-slip vinyl.
Cutlery and crockery are available but you should check whether these are in apropriate sizes and sufficient quantity for you event and make your own arrangements if not suitable.
Waste food and packaging must be removed from the premises at the end of your booking; our bins cannot cope with food refuse or packaging.
The kitchen must be left completely clean at the end of your booking; cleaning materials and equipment are provided.
For regular users we can provide limited storage for your equipment and materials - this space is shared with other users and is not suitable for high-value equipment. The Church accepts no liability whatsoever for goods and articles stored on the premises. We do not allow furniture or heavy or substantial equipment to be brought onto or stored on the premises. If you will be hiring or bringing equipment or furniture for one-off event you must allow sufficient time in your booking for its delivery and installation, and for its removal afterwards and insurance requirements may apply.
